ISDM Knowledge Series Webinar: System Thinking : What it is and What it isn’t’- Mihir Mathur
Description
“Thinking is one of the critical skills that contributes to our ability to make profound decisions – for matters related to our personal lives, business, public policy, environment etc. Our world is full of complexities. Some of which we understand and most that we dont. But we still take decisions to live through this complexity. Our decisions regularly get challenged and the outcomes often surprises us. How can we improve our ability to deal with surprises emerging through the real world complexities and take decisions which are more systemic in nature. Systems Thinking is one of the ways to achieve this. Thinking in systems is essentially a way of comprehending real world systems (social, economic, ecological) by studying their interactions and how those impact their own behaviour. In this introductory webinar we will talk about what systems thinking is and what it is not.”
