Reporting Fellowship on Land Governance

Land Conflict Watch–an award winning data-journalism project–is offering fellowship to journalists who could report in-depth, investigative and narrative stories at the intersection of land rights, land conflicts, politics, economy, class, gender and the environment. The journalist will be based in New Delhi but will travel frequently across India to report these stories. The stories will be published at established national and international media platforms. Here is an example of the kind of stories the project colaborates on. Initially, the fellowship will be for one year but can be extended.

Who can apply:

— Journalists with three to five years of experience as a reporter
— Experience in reporting about data, development, and economy is a plus and so is the knowledge of more than one Indian language
— Good writing skills
— We are an equal opportunity organisation. We’d be especially thrilled to work with people who have been underrepresented in media. So people from the LGBTQ, Dalit and Adivasi communities are encouraged to apply.

To apply:

Email your resume, a cover letter, and three story samples to jobs@landconflictwatch.org with ‘Reporting Fellowship’ in the subject line by August 10, 2018.
