RAGI KANA
12th to 15th May, 2017 – 10 am to 7pm
Off Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore
Jointly organized by Graama Seva Sangha and Sri Ramakrishna Samagra Shikshana Kendra (Hulkul Trust)

When this weekend arrives, it will be accompanied by the sights, sounds, aroma and the rustic nature of villages. Right here in Bangalore South.

“Ragi Kana”, a Weekend Santhe in combination with cultural activities, demonstrations, discussions and lots of memories to take away, is starting on the 12th of May and extending to the 15th of May. We urge you to use this unique opportunity to partake in the events.

The event will be held at a twenty acre coconut / chikoo (sapota) plantation, lush green, where agriculture is practiced and cattle still bred; all this very close to the bustling city of Bangalore, a few minutes away from major landmarks such as Decathlon and Meenakshi Mall on Bannerghatta Road. Please come with your family and friends and experience for yourselves the various events and also support rural economy by dedicating yourselves as a responsible consumer, visiting our various stalls where there will be village produce on sale.

Various well known organizations are participating in the Santhe, including Dastkar Andhra, DESI, Timbaktu and Jivabhumi.

At the same venue, we are inaugurating a discussion forum on 13 May, Saturday at 4pm, the first topic would be “JC Kumarappa – Relevant again?”

On Sunday, 14th May, at 11am, we have a talk and discussion on “Saree Traditions of Karnataka“.
