Greenpeace Camp
| Event Start Date: 8th August 2016 | Event End Date: 15th August 2016 | Event Venue: Kedia, Bihar |
Greenpeace India is conducting a camp in Kedia village in Bihar from 8th to 15th of August as a part of Food For Life campaign. There are numerous examples which validate the success of ecological farming in multiple states, and Kedia is a great example of how community participation can create lasting change.
The camp is aimed at people who want to be changemakers- who want to bear witness to the success of ecological farming and how it can be a progressive solution to the current agrarian distress.
The camp is an opportunity to directly learn ecological farming practices from the community itself, to mobilize local communities on the issue of Eco-Ag and actively help the farmers in the implementation of these practices. The attendees will also be lucky to be a part of another celebration- the installation of a solar eco-freezer during the camp itself- a victory we’re confident of attaining. However, let’s be clear. The camp is just the start. What we do with our experience will matter the most.
Expectation:
Greenpeace India’s expectation is that attendees will use this knowledge and exposure from Kedia, to inspire urban communities around us to work towards a landmark change in the cities by mobilizing them to join the Food for Life campaign journey.
