Various civic and social organizations of Bengaluru have gotten together to organize the ‘Beku Beda Santhe’ on October 15th, 2017.
The Santhe will see numerous RWAs, NGOs, slum rights groups, unorganized sector representatives, civic groups, think tanks, women’s groups and others joining hands to co-host this event.
The “Beku Beda Santhe” aims to create a manifesto for the city of Bengaluru by its citizens. It will serve as a platform for citizens to express what they want (ಬೆೇಕು) and what they do not want (ಬೆೇಡ) for their area and city.
The Santhe, commemorating the first anniversary of the Human Chain for the #steelflyoverbeda, will be held at Freedom Park, Bengaluru, from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm. It will include performances by various artists, an art mela for children, and interactive sessions with people who have been working on city issues.
A website http://bekubedasanthe.in has been launched for citizens to register the civic and other city related issues that they are currently facing.
