| Event Start Date: 20th September 2017 | Event End Date: 22nd September 2017 | Event Venue: Orchha, Madhya Pradesh |
Greetings from Development Alternatives!
We are pleased to invite you to our annual event TARAgram Yatra 2017 – “Economies for People and Planet.”
TARAgram Yatra brings together practitioners and policy makers from India and the South Asian region to discuss issues of sustainability and identify what we can do more, differently and/or in a better way such that India transforms to a greener, more sustainable, resilient and inclusive economy.
India has recently made two major global commitments: the 2030 Global Development Agenda (popularly known as the Sustainable Development Goals) and the ratification of the Paris Agreement, which aims for holistic well-being of all, today and in the future; without surpassing the natural limits of the environment.
Through this Yatra, we aim to explore pathways that build our economy based on principles of sustainability, justice, dignity, inclusion, governance & accountability, resilience, efficiency & sufficiency, inter-generational equality and remaining within ecological boundaries.
The design of the Yatra is as follows:
20th and 21st September, 2017:

Thematic areas:
- Measuring what matters
