Understanding Himalaya Trans-boundary Issues and Ecological Democracy

What will be covered is as follows:

  1. Ecological significance of the Himalayas.
  2. The nature of resource interest in the Himalayas (country wise), in India some glimpses of the state perspective as well.
  3. What this is doing to ecology on one hand and democracy on the other.

 

It will be a joint presentation by Sh. Viren Lobo and Dr. Leena Gupta (Total time 45 minutes – rest for discussion).
